Our Vision

York Dance Expressions is a dynamic non-profit dance studio committed to offering a rich variety of dance styles. Our mission is to inspire a lifelong love of dance while nurturing a supportive, inclusive community for dancers of all ages and skill levels.

Founded as Linda B’s School of Dance, we transitioned in 2017 to York Dance Expressions, upholding our commitment to quality dance education. We create a welcoming and family-like environment to inspire students in their dance journeys.

Styles Offered Include

Ballet

Ballet classes at York Dance Expressions are available for all age groups, providing structured training in classical technique, posture, and performance. Whether you're starting out or refining your skills, our experienced instructors guide each dancer at their own pace.

Lyrial/ Contemporary

Designed for our more experienced dancers in Levels 2 and 3, lyrical and contemporary classes encourage emotional expression, fluidity, and creative interpretation. These classes challenge students to blend strong technique with artistry and intention.

Jazz

Jazz classes at York Dance Expressions are designed for all age levels, focusing on dynamic movement, musicality, and performance skills. Whether you're new to jazz or looking to refine your technique, our instructors provide age-appropriate and engaging instruction.

Hip-Hop

Hip hop at York Dance Expressions is available for dancers of all ages, offering high-energy routines and a focus on personal style, rhythm, and freestyle movement. Classes are upbeat, engaging, and designed to keep dancers moving and motivated.

Tap

Tap dance at York Dance Expressions is offered to students of all ages, focusing on developing strong footwork, timing, and musicality. Classes are tailored to each level, allowing dancers to grow their skills in a supportive and energetic environment.

Modern

Modern dance classes are available for Level 2 and 3 dancers looking to deepen their technique and explore innovative movement. Rooted in grounded, expressive style, these classes encourage creativity, strength, and emotional connection through choreography.
